The Middle East Federation of Medical Physics Organizations (MEFOMP)
is part of the International Medical Physics Organization (IOMP) effort to organize
medical physics unions under its umbrella to promote and improve the state of
Medical Physics and Radiation Medicine in all regions of the world. Is the leading
organization in the field of medical physics and has a broad scientific and
professional system that includes the principles of physics and its applications in
biology and medicine. The Middle East Federations of Organizations of Medical
Physics (MEFOMP) aims to develop the practice of medical physics throughout the
Middle East by disseminating scientific and technical information, promoting the
educational and professional development of medical physics, and providing high-quality medical physics services to diagnose and treat cancer patients using state o the art equipment and technological protocols.
Based on the above, and with the collaboration of pioneers in medical
physics from the American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM),
MEFOMP and the Lebanese Association Of Medical Physics (LAMP) will be
holding the First Diagnostic and Therapy Workshop on Radiation Medicine in
Beirut, Lebanon from 1-4 of December 2018.
